Dr. Dutt is truly an inspiration! Her dedication to helping others through developing balance in Becoming Your Best has had a substantial impact on our staff. Hamburg School has not only embraced the BYB protocols, but staff are definitely implementing the lessons learned in our professional development. As a result, our school culture is thriving. We are so fortunate to have Dr. Dutt come in to share these ideals with us and look forward to continued PD opportunities with her!

During our time spent with Jeanene Dutt, we were reminded that our personal well-being can be impacted simply by the way we engage with ourselves and we have the power to change that narrative. As the development progressed, she was able to personalize her approach to fit the needs of our district and inspired value in taking the time to create concrete, measurable goals that will set the stage for our district's future. The constructive framework given through the program allowed our staff to build personal and professional vision statements with ease and collaborate enthusiastically with our colleagues. Personally, this professional development has changed the way I approach tasks and the path I am taking to pursue short and long-term goals.

As an educator, it can be overwhelming to find a healthy work-life balance. Dr. Dutt’s “Becoming your Best” workshops provided me the tools and a clear direction to be successful in my career while simultaneously maintaining healthy relationships with family and friends. The workshop was a great reminder that scheduling “me time” is just as important as scheduling work priorities. I highly recommend this workshop.

The second workshop focused on building a team vision. The enthusiasm the staff had working together to develop a common vision was contagious! The teachers were having thoughtful conversations about student achievement and how they can build the students’ skills together as a team. Having accountability along with a voice was priceless. As a result, the elementary school staff met and are in the process of developing an interactive curriculum night for the whole school community. Realistic and smart goal setting ignited the overall collaboration which was dormant after the pandemic.

“Having a process with a common language to fall back on has made it really easy for us to focus on what matters most. We always reference our vision and prioritize our tasks to actually accomplish our goals. Keeping sight of the vision helps us to maintain our priorities even in the craziness of daily school life.
